As the founding principal of RAAW, LI is the vision behind the Vancouver based design, contracting and residential development firm. Since 2015, LI successfully led over a hundred interior projects spanning residential, commercial, multifamily and hospitality, delivering over 1.1 million square feet of indoor space to date. As a designer-developer, LI exercises a refined design-led approach across scale for the firm’s internal capital projects. Her expertise in design is met with unparalleled design leadership and sensitivity towards feasibility, rendering every RAAW project awe-inspiring and distinct.
Trained in urban land economics, interior and urban design, LI’s research interest focuses on urban affordability and equitable densification where new forms of housing typologies intersect with alternate tenure structures. The vertically integrated, highly granular and interdisciplinary nature of her background positions her in leading multidisciplinary teams, tackling complex issues with grounded interventions. LI is recently appointed by the city council to Vancouver’s Urban Design Panel UDP, advising COV planning review on DP applications for civic building project proposals concerning public interests.
Beyond practice, research and civic engagement, her influence as a design educator continues to grow. She currently teaches BID (CIDA accredited) undergraduate thesis design studios at YU as an adjunct professor and is a regular guest critic for graduate studios in architecture and urbanism at UBC SALA. She also serves on the NCIDQ Exam Committee, actively shaping practicum exam blueprints for professional interior design certification. In her free time, she enjoys working with her children, rethinking early design education for next-generation designers and tiny urban-dwellers.

EXECUTIVE DESIGN ASSISTANT | JENN HUANG
Interior Designer, NCIDQ in prog.
JENN is a creative and forward-thinking designer driven by a passion for crafting meaningful and functional spaces. With a background in interior design and real estate, she brings a diverse skill set to every project, seamlessly integrating creativity and practicality. She believes great design has the power to elevate everyday experiences and strives to make a positive impact through her work. She received her training in Interior Design at Wilson School of Design and is actively pursuing NCIDQ certification, a reflection of RAAW’s commitment to uphold the highest standards of professional practice in interior design. Her commitment to growth and innovation underscores her belief that design is a transformative tool for creating spaces that resonate and endure.
In her role, JENN supports the design execution front of all interior projects. When not immersed in design, she enjoys being outdoors, exploring new culinary experiences, and photography.
PROJECT CONTROLLER | Jeremy Z. lei
B.A, Building Technologist, Licensed BC Builder
With a diverse background in Interactive Arts and Technology, and design with specialization in Building Science, LEI serves as a technologist and facilitator for design execution at RAAW. With an interest in model making and detailing, LEI's technical expertise in building science allows him to lead project visualization, both the virtually and in reality. His experience is met with extensive practice-based knowledge in building technology and construction methodology in BC. He is nominee for RAAW Contracting Ltd.’s Residential Builder’s licensure under the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, BC.
Since 2019, LEI has undertaken the art of Muay Thai and is a motorcycle enthusiast. LEI is currently pursing Graduate Architecture studies at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLLER | ROCKY Y. LEE
PhD. P.Eng.
A member of RAAW Design Group, LEE oversees project execution phase in RAAW Contracting and development projects. He consults with our design team and allied professionals from project planning to execution, ensuring an integrated approach led by design is actualized. With formal training as a Chemical and Mechanical Engineer, and over 25 years of multidisciplinary project experiences, LEE supports the design team in ensuring projects are executed with state of the art planning and optimization in the IGMP method for cost and schedule alignments.
LEE is interested in and focuses on the residential middle density development sector. With a unique blend of engineering background and management skills, he plays an integral role in ensuring all RAAW development and contracting projects are carried out from the conceptualization through to realization.
Associate Interior Designer | Carl Wang
BID, Millwork Design Specialist & Technician
CARL encompasses a robust skillset in the interior design and planning framework, with a focus on design documentation and site implementation. His design philosophy and RAAW’s people-focus approach to design converges in the design process, which is essentially is a journey that begins and ends with strong teamwork, and client relations. Carl is committed to continued professional development and learning and is on his way to obtaining NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) certification.
Currently, he is actively engaging with the industry in RAAW x Leicht pilot initiative, commercial interiors and luxury residential millwork scopes in multiple Vancouver based projects.
Associate Interior Designer | Jason Y. Wu
BID, Interior Designer
JASON is an interior designer with background in planning for functional spaces that are both sustainable and aesthetically outstanding. With passion for modern interiors, his interests in furniture design and documentation is an integral part of the successful interior design project management. Jason’s focus on practicing interior design is paired with his continued dedication to learning.
He is currently working towards his RID designation and is a supporter of regulated, professional and distinguished interior design practice and standards.
Associate Interior Designer | PERI KONE
BID, Interior Designer
PERI holds a bachelor in Interior Design. Her passion for interior Design extends from her lifelong love of expressing creativity through a do-it -yourself mentality and desire to inspire other through art, architecture, and culture. Peri views design as a means to leave legacy to generations by creating spaces that integrate communication, connection, and feelings. Her purpose is to help her clients to create a space that reflects their personality.
Peri has a strong sense of spatial organization, design details and creative energy. Her on-going efforts to better her professional practice through the NCIDQ qualification process is reflected in her pursuit of the examinations while working as a designer. “Design is your story in one space”, is the way Peri puts it.
